I love my family. Simple things – the smell of coffee in the morning, even if I don’t drink it. The subtle and trusting dance between my camera and its subjects. Clean socks, just out of the dryer. Wine and cheese. Grapes. Friends. Backyard patios in the summer time. Kitchen table conversations. The sounds of my nephew and his wrinkly little feet. Spiced chai tea. Being in the mountains. Falling asleep by a fireplace on a winter’s night. Sleeping in. Listening to Bonobo while driving with my windows down. Eating apples from Appalachia Ohio. Sleeping diagonal in bed. Hearing the rainfall on my window. Live music. Creaks in the hardwood floors. Cold milk with my cereal. Getting dressed up – casually. John Denver and The Muppets Christmas album. Camping. Leslie Feist. Taking walks in my hometown neighborhood at dusk. A full moon. Wet sand under my bare feet. BBQ. Riding my bicycle that my wonderful boyfriend built for me. Traveling to far away places where I can’t speak the language…
